    Hi Richard,

This isn't a binaries newsgroup, so you can expect some flames. Just so
you know, you should post to a binaries group, or post a link here to
your photo on a webpage somewhere (such as www.photo.net).

    Scott.

Couldn't see why, it is a photo, which is what the NG is about.
I am not asking for money or anything else, just thought it was an
interesting photo to share that's all.
If anyone is upset, then maybe they should get a life.

Many ISPs drop binary posts in non-binary groups, including mine (Optus).
As aus.photo isn't a binaries newsgroup your picture wasn't even propagated
    to Optus's news server.

If you want to share your photo(s) you'd be a lot better off taking Scott's
advice instead of showing us all your charm.

I was wondering where the photo went.
Internode must have dropped it as well.

Well, for a start there is the hilarity of the sheer irony of your
    postings;
you apparently post something regarding peacekeeping in Rwanda. Most
people don't see it, as binaries are stripped from many isps to groups
that are non-binary. The locals gently point this out to you, and tell
you that this is not protocol, and basically a waste of time in these
'ere parts. You insist that you know best, and abuse those who disagree.
A flame war ensues. Are you getting it yet????
So lets go over it one more time: This ng is broadly and basically to
discuss photography and photo related issues, or to post a link to where
we can view your photos because aus.photo is not a binary group!! whilst
Im sure your photos are interesting, they remain to most, invisible.

It was good advice. It's bad netiquette to post binaries to a non-binaries
    group.

I never saw the original message at all; it got deleted by one of the
servers along the way because it's not a binary group.
