    Run history issue

In a new HP Win7Pro 64bit I uninstalled the temporary (put there to
encourage purchase) Microsoft Office. Also deleted IE history
which I rarely use, and recall in WinXP if that was done Run lost it's
history, but rebuilt as commands were re-entered. Now it is
not rebuilding IE history is not turned off. Don't find anything
else relative in Internet Options, so hopefully someone has run into
    this and knows the solution.

FYI at the outset IE had all black bars, but that was corrected and
question if that could have changed a setting, perhaps in the reg?

    Found the answer in Windows7Forums.com.
Right click Start/Properties and then check "store & display recently
opened programs in the start menu"
