Yet during the Holidays they seemed to show crap all late at night. That would be the best time to have these cult followings as alot of people would stay up and watch them.

They don't want people watching stuff during the holidays - there's no ratings. Duh!

Spot on... sort of like comparative advantage for anyone who does/did economics

Watchers of Home and Away aren't. Move it to midnight and you will get virtually no viewers.

So to maximise ratings, it's best to put the "cult" type shows in the late night slots and the more casual type shows in prime time.

Ok, so I've mentioned it before, but hard to beat "Taylor" just before 2am for best video of the night. Ben Stiller is hilarious. "That's a time when you can be angry, because you're hungry".

Given the musical tastes I've observed in here, I'm sure a few will be interested to note that Metallica are programming RAGE tomorrow night. Their selections are then followed by close to 3 hours of Metallica videos.

Is that tonight as in Saturday night, or as in morning?

Well it doesn't technically start until 0:05 on Sunday morning, but I still call that Saturday night. The times are listed on the playlist.

Not unless you travelled into the future you didn't - it's on SATURDAY night/SUNDAY morning. Another 11 hours before it starts.

LOL - 3 hours of Metallica videos.

I remember back in the good old days, Metallica said they would never ever make a music video because they were "too commercial".

Ok, reviving this thread to point out that SBS is screening "In The Mood For Love" tonight. There have been plenty of strong recommendations in the forum for this Wong Kar Wai film, so you may want to check it out.
