IIRC Melbourne a couple of years ago were found guilty of basically not
doing everything possible to win matches so they could gain an advantage
Haven't Fremantle just done the same thing by basically throwing a match
against a bottom of the ladder side that has had one of their worst
seasons for years and had no expectation to be close to competitive
against a top 4 side?
The Fremantle selections for the St.Kilda match were obviously not
intended to give them a competitive side, so since all of these selections
were in Fremantle's control it was a deliberate decision to reduce their
chances of winning. Who is going to be held responsible?
If it's good enough for one club to be penalised for not trying to win,
it's good enough for all of them.
