All quiet on the political front

Not too noisey on the pooter side either.

Just had a frustrating time getting to watch "Star Trek Into Darkness" would
only go 1/2 way on my DVD player. Just about all the copy programs would not
touch it. Finally got a "watchable" copy from DVDFab. Any sugestions on good
Disney busters that do NOT run under Linux wouyld be helpful...

Clean the PLASTIC side of a DVD dishwashing liquid
Real scratches some use toothpaste in one direction not circular
The painted side is what has the data burnt into it use white board
pens not solvent pens on it

    WIN7 32bit
After downloading Torrents I make a DVD with
    Free Movie DVD Maker
    http://www.sothinkmedia.com/
However its good now to use a USB (NFTS FAT32 has a 4GB limit)
    Shop around

Q: What has Tony Abbott promised Murdoch?
A: A broadband network that will be so slow as to offer no competition to his pay TV interests.

FTTN, while an incremental improvement on what we have now,
is a short-sighted waste of time and money that will still
leave Australia lagging behind the rest of the developed World,
squandering billions of dollars on obsolete technology in the process.

A Petzl fan doomed to oblivion

    Were using Torrents as example
I als rip my CD's to AVI format for easy storage and use

However Australia's only legally defined God
Our Christian God, whose compound redemptive name is
    Lord Jesus Christ
    forgives!!

The Christian belief and fact is Moslems are deceived.
    Like Schitzophreniacs,they need therapy;
    Not confirmation of their delusions.
The recognized place of worship in a Christian Nation is a Christian Church.
Mosques are the recognized place of worship only in Moslem countries
Australia's *only legally defined God* is our Christian God whose compound redemptive name is Lord Jesus Christ
Something as simple as denying Moslems a place to pray is all it takes to make them leave voluntarily and peacefully.

I use the PVR which is a full PC.

    It has HDMI out.

That's the big advantage of a full PC, it can do everything.

Yes a friend of mine has his computer receive Sat TV record and play
on his TV plus RIP's his DVD's (DVD FAB) and stores then on tetra byte

Yeah, I do that with free to air TV.

Don't even watch the ABC TV News live now, its better
to record it and watch it just after its been recorded so
I can skip the stuff I'm not interested in watching.

The only thing I have watched live for a while now is
    the election evening count.

    > plus RIP's his DVD's (DVD FAB)

I never buy any, get them as torrents.

Yeah, me too. Must have about 20TB now.

    > Works very well

Yeah, very convenient to be able to stop whenever
you like, stop watching part way thru and then pick
up from the same place next day etc and to be able
to skip backward and forward thru it when watching.

    Yep.

There are dirt cheap DVD player that plays Divx(AVI format) files happily.
Quality is virtually indistinguishable from DVD.
Get one of those DVD players and simply get the movies from internet.
I watch some movies and docos on youtube, directly connected to the TV from
    PC. Quality is just fine.
