Thread: My day

    My day

Spent the best part of today pulling, refitting a recond power rack to
    my mates beautiful Lancia HPE.
Little delay in the middle while we waited for the reco rack to arrive
but an easy job on a perfectly clean car.
The car, an 82 model is absolutely spottless though it has had a
retrim after the stitching on the front seats gave up the ghost.

Just do a google search and grab the first one you find. It'll be a more
realistic choice than anything Ozliar tries to pass off *if* he decides
    to post one :)

I'd like to see a photo too, with a copy of today's newspaper with the
mast-head date legible, on the bonnet.

Be the only HPE on the planet that hasn't rusted out or simply fallen
    apart.

They were very, very poorly put together.

Tell that to Noddy! He is sure cars are made of tin and that's why they
    rust! LOL

    Unsurprisingly you have little knowledge.
From 1982 the Lancia was as rust free as most cars of its era.
They had stopped using the inferior Russian steel.
Considering the very few that were sold here because of their past
reputation, there are still many around in good condition.

    yes they require maintenance.
A couple of tubes of the different Loctites was an asset.

They were no worse than anything else from that era

But hey...I'm not going to change your unresearched, ill informed
    opinion.

    Never had an aluminium Dino.

I had a Dino with ally door skins.

Also had a Cooper S with an ally roof and boot skin
    Yep you read right..

You could probably do a little research and find some info on that car
and the rumours surrounding its cheater status

    Bwahahahahahahaha :)

****** you're a funny guy. You *really* should consider dropping your CV
off at your local television studio and seeing if you can interest them
in giving you your own nightly show :)

    > They had stopped using the inferior Russian steel.

And moved to equally inferior Italian steel?

    > Considering the very few that were sold here because of their past

Like a lot of Russian farm equipment, it tends to get preserved fairly
well when it spends it's life out of the elements in the corner of the
    workshop waiting for parts.

    > yes they require maintenance.

Only if you want to drive one. If you do then they become an exercise in
    perpetual repair.

    Like *anything* Italian.

    > A couple of tubes of the different Loctites was an asset.

A couple of stick of Dynamite would be a better solution.

    > They were no worse than anything else from that era

    Bwahahahahahaa...

Seriously. Give them a call :)

I believe you claimed (only *after* you discovered they were not made of
aluminium mind you), that all of the hang-off panels on the one you
imagined that you owned were aluminium.

Which, of course, would have made it the only such Dino in the entire
    world :)

Better yet, rather than anyone *else* doing the research, you could
stump up all the information anyone would ever need to know considering
that you claimed to have *owned* the ****ing thing.

Of course, the only reason you'll never do anything like that is because
your claims are all ****ing horse shit :)
