    Canada

    http://www.absound.ca

Excellent Canadian site, which has a good system for postage, so if you only want to order small amounts it should come out cheaper than most places. Competitive for large orders aswell.

I've gone back to using dvd pacific myself. They only complaint I could have is that do not tell you when the item has shipped. But since I can check my CC statement it is not a problem.

And with the current currency conversion to $US it is becoming much cheaper, than Canadian retailers, as the cross rate isn't getting more beneficial.

Do you mean Tsargard- that you don't get a Email from them letting you know that your order has shipped(I don't know what other on line stores like Amazon etc do this- send an email out to inform of order has been posted in other words)?

They do let you know on there website when it was shipped and what time etc- but yeah it would be kind of cool to also get an email from them saying the order was " shipped on so and so at this time".

Yeah thats right dude, no email. TAU does, but they need to cos my orders usually take 2 weeks for them to process. Sure it would be nice, but honestly it is only a minor squabble. Their Customer Service via emailing is 2nd to none I have come across. Equal with Bensons in UK

Above post is blatant advertising.... (Post removed __ nsu)

I recommend www.playcentric.com always quick to send titles out, 7~14 days max. Occasionly have good specials. Also have a buy 2 save $2.50 each special.

I'd like to also say that playcentric was the worst R1 place I dealt with. Billed me but never took a blasted order. www.dvdpricesearch.com has more stories of such happenings.

Sounds like you've have a much better run than alot redbears

That bites man. I haven't used them for awhile but I bought a stack mid last year and only had one problem with a dodgy disc, but I sent it back and they gave me a refund no probs.

    hi,

What about cd-wow. There are a few of these internationaly based, there is a .com and one HK one but I don't know the link to that one.

I think the .net one is US based but they all ship from hong kong.

I've heard very good things and I will place an order with them very soon.

Also, Wizz I think it would be useful if you added all the recommendations so far into your first post to make it easier to view.
All except the one with the bad rap of course.

    thanks

    looks at watcher

i have another one to add here as well.
    www.deepdiscountdvd.com

some of the titles i have been looking for are quite cheap (punisher works out to be about 10.50AUD before shipping) and they have box set of the pink panther (5 dvds) for about 100AUD (on tau it works out to be about 120AUD)

they have a flat rate of shipping ($15) for orders over $100, so if you save up and buy as many as you can in one hit it could work out pretty good.

the aussie dollar is doing pretty well at the moment against the $US making the US sites more competative against the CAD sites.
It's not an optical illusion. It just looks like one.

    An uk site

    www.blackstar.co.uk

I have used this site twice now, (aliG and a movie for a mate) yes it is expensive but as some of the post on this forum said I just could not wait. their delivery time was very fast 1 week for each order standard post.

craptest posted this one a while back very handy.. will search about 70 odd stores for your movie and return the best prices in aud....

i think someone mentioned its a bit misleading when u order more than 1 movie cause of the way it works out the postage

Smile List your favourate DVD WWW retailers here

    Hi,

My 2 "current" scources, that each offer cheap, reliable, fast service :

    In Australia : www.atlantic.dvd.com.au

and in the US - Region 1 DVDS mostly

    www.cduniverse.com

    - found them to be excellent and has order tracking etc - delivery 7-10 days .... sells games, movies, music cds as well as adult dvds

( have to use www.adultvideouniverse.com to access this sub-section of cduniverse - it adds the extra "adult" tab..... )
