    Exclamation Official: Rugby League Thread

Well the Rugby League season is less than 1 month away - so it's time we got into the spirit.

I'm tipping the Cronulla Sharks to win. They're the best team ever in any sport so they'll take out that first premiership this year.

I thought you were a Bronco man. Why not North QLD? Local side.

Spose my local is Wests. I used to live 5 mins from the Campbelltown Show ground, where they only play 6 games a year now.. Which sux...

But I lived in the shire when I started following Rugby League, hence a Sharkies boy through and through

i've gone for the broncos eva since 88 when they first came into the comp...

i have travelled to townsville with mates from the gym a few times to see the cowboys play.. however we consider ourselves "ANTI" cowboys supporters, IE we always go for the other team.

I remember last year the first game of the comp, cowboys v broncos.. the broncos had just scored.. the cowboys where in the ingoal waiting for the conversion and we were all yelling out "GET USED TO IT COWBOYS"

the same game, i think the broncos where leading like 40 nil or something and the cowboys just scored, this lady turns around to us and says "haha suck s#@$t".... we were all like WTF ?? look at the score board you stupid cow

ahh... a day of fun at the football

she must be from the school of Souths supporters. Like the opening game against the Roosters last year. 42-0 and then they score..

They went off. Sure they scored, let them have the glory but it was 42-0..

    whizz,
have you seen the draw this year.

Sux big time for the Sharks. Our 2 byes are within the first 6 rounds. Surely we are classy enough to have at least a break around origin time. We also play crap after byes aswell - so may be shakey start to the season.

i've only looked at the draw to see when the broncos will be in townsville... early april if i remember...

souths might do ok this year.... they bought well, but it always takes time for it to click together.

i'd be going with the tigers on that one.

but all in all.. lets hope its a good tight comp this year... anyone else reckon they should go back to having just 5 teams in the finals ???

i assume its 8 because of the financial windfall, however why reward a team with a finals berth that may lose more games than they win during the year.

Yep a Top 5... I fully agree to this. Some years my team would not make the semis in a Top 5 situation but that suits me. The finals are meant to be the best of the best, but ever since the Top 10, then 8, it has rewarded an average season.

Dragons will be a force this year no doubt!
The new Brown regime is gonna turn this top8 side into a top4 side and I have a feeling the Dragons will go all the way this year...

    GO THE DRAGONS!!!

    Trial Game Update.

    Warriors 48 defeated Sharks 42 or 44.

Good to the Sharks defence is up to it's old standard
