I drink
I get drunk

And no, I haven't gone blind yet - that's an entirely different topic
altogether. It's just an old wives' tale - it's not really true.
Trust me. I know. However it has helped me to be more alert to
sounds. ;o)

I don't think it is. There have been documented cases of alcohol related
blindness. It is a poison you know.

In fact I think two Russian seaman drank cleaning fluid and went blind
in the last year, or it might have just been nearly died. But there have
been many cases.

You can go blind just from a psycholigicaly traumatic event you know.
