Wow, your so lucky you got to see them. I heard that they played a few covers, including a Living End song What song was it!?!?!?!

I just sat home depressed of not getitng a ticket and going...my sisters and I called a friend who was there and we listened to a song on the phone (Brain Stew I think) but it didn't have a good reception.

You sure it was the reception? when you get calls from people at concerts, it's always destorted to the max.

This thread should be re-named to 'Green Day concert appreciation thread'
Chuck Norris originally appeared in the "Street Fighter II" video game, but was removed by Beta Testers because every button caused him to do a roundhouse kick. When asked bout this "glitch," Norris replied, "That's no glitch."

A work mate went and saw Bryan Adams. Apparently it was pretty good. He was quite impressed with the support act Shannon Noel!

I called a friend of mine from a Blink concert and he said it great.

Does anyone know what the Living End song was? I don't remember them playing it at the Sydney show, and if they did & I didn't recognise it I'll go in a corner and cry.

Just got back from seeing The Goodies, and damn my cheeks are sore from laughing so hard! They were as funny as ever!!

Particularly Graeme: "If this goes badly, my name is Eric Idle"

The little censorship sketch was clever, and the whole Jack The Ripper radio-sketch was a scream!

The encore of Funky Gibbon was great too.

    Worth every cent!!

    Glad you enjoyed it!!!

Everyone I went with agreed that Graeme was the stand out!!! Its funny 'cause as a kid I always remember thinking that Tim and Bill were the funniest - I quess that Mr Garden's more deadpan humour was lost on me as a youngin'. Now, being alll grownsed up, I can appreciate his comic timing - I reckon he must be one of the best in the business. Funny stuff - I espescially loved his dangerous pets skit!!!

I've got to agree with everyone else in here, Greenday were absolutely f'n awesome!! Admittedly the ooohhhs and ahhhs that Billie Joe kept doing did get a tad tedious after a while, but it was an absolutely brilliant show, the best I've ever been to (not that I've been to that many, but it kicked arse!!) It was also good that Billie Joe dedicated Wake Me Up When September Ends to Johnny Ramone, I felt that was a good gesture to one of the geatest punk musicians ever.

I also briefly got to meet the drummer from Simple Plan who was hanging at the back of the mosh watching Greenday's set, and he seemed like a really nice guy, although he was extremely short, I'm only a short guy and I towered over him.

Greenday played a good selection of songs, the only songs that I was looking forward to that didn't get played were The Grouch and Welcome To Paradise, but I can't complain, there was a good mix of the new and the old.

In conclusion, a great night, well worth the 70 bucks, and I can't wait till they come out again!

I rang my brother during simple plan because he likes them and he said it sounded very destorted too.

I went and saw Gyroscope (2nd time) in the Gerwin Room at the Espy in St.Kilda
Gyroscope were as awesome and full of energy as ever.... even though they were stuffed after playing so many shows in a row. I'm glad they played some of there lighter songs as well this time around.

Their last song Confidence in Confidentialy absolutely rocked. The whole night was well worth 18 bucks even though I thought the support acts were less than average.

Good luck to Gyroscope on their first overseas tour to the USA at the "South by South-West" event.

i think LIVE will really struggle to have sell-out shows this year unless their new album is brilliant.(throwing copper brilliant!). The struggled to sell all the tickets last year!

if they tour it will be 3 years in a row! even die-hard fans may not wanna pay $80!

but then again when they play live shows they never really disappoint!
