The Majestic

Well, I finally got around to watching The Majestic and thought it was absolutely fantastic. I'm a bit of a sucker for these sorts of stories (with the happy ending of course!) and really agree with Tsargrad when he gave it a "5/5" in his review.

However, just scanning some review sites, I was surprised to see it rate so low at rottentomatoes.com. They're usually pretty reliable when it comes to rating films, but this has to be the first rating I totally disagree with...

Then again, if memory serves right, the dinner thread was dominated about 90% by a certain member who would converse with himself.

I didn't have a look at The Majestic before sending it to Tsargrad and now I'm bloody spewing. It sounds pretty good.

Saw it in blockbuster tonight, but I ended up getting Red dragon instead, as well as the PS2 game, big mutha truckers. So I ended up losing out on both occasions.
