    You're surprised?

Out of the ones left, he is the ONLY one with all-round talent. The fact
that he doesn't always display the voice is disturbing but a good teacher
will get him to change his ways. He has the rest though his stage presence
doesn't actually measure up as well as Marty's did. A good teacher, there,
too will change that. He doesn't need a whole lot spent on him to make a
good return out of him because most is already there.

If you were to look at any of the others, you have bits and pieces that are
OK in each but none measure up as fully as he does. Lastly, the really
bloody terrible attitude of Chanel is the reason the Idol people working
behind the scenes hate her guts. They work in or associated, if loosely,
with the industry. Anyone polling them honestly who was thinking about
giving her a real chance would chuck her out. Her only hope is to win to get
a contract but she has no chance there either.

Trying to get him to believe that his current teacher isnt any good may be a
challenge! He has been going to the Johnny Young School for most of his life
(does that explain why he seems more polished than the rest)

Of course by this being released he has just blown his chance of being Oz
Idol as it is sever breach of contract!

Because they are all meant to be unsigned future pop stars. Not current pop
    stars.

    You know that because?

So far as I understood it, the winner gets a contract, the rest take
    whatever they can get.

The winner gets a contract, and BMG have first right of refusal to sign any
    of the other finalists.

I think that lasts for 6 months, which means they can't sign with any other
    company until then.

As a performer and someone who has worked professionally in th entertainment
industry I would say it is a very VERY bad thing.

JY School produces plastic talent- ie they know how to move and know which
songs to get teenagers screaming but they arent indidviduals.

In the entertainment industry all going there really means is your parents
have ALOT of money (its about twice as expensive as most singing
    teachers/schools because of the name)

VERY true. I went there for a year and just couldnt do the whole
sequins/dance thing. I was only interested in developing my voice, that
was it. It was horrible. And the Parents.....UGH.

We had zero money, but I managed to visit my grandma to pay for the
lessons. I ended up being better off with private tuition.

What's it with Channel 10 and their loves of Gays.

My Dad went to school with Johnny Young.

He used to beat him up.

    I love my Dad.
