    Add/Remove Programs Problem!

Hello Microsoft, It's been a while since I came here again - From the blaster
worm problems. I just recently had a problem with my game Stronghold
Crusader, which had an error I needed to reinstall. It was normal earlier,
until today. I attempted uninstall in Add/Remove Programs, the Installshield
came up and deleted everything 100% in less than a second and said it was
done. The problem is that, the uninstall didn't do its job! My files were
still there!I then inserted my CD and attempted to install, but there was no
Install button, but Uninstall and Play button. After numerous attempts the
game wont be uninstalled. I manually deleted the folder myself and dumped it
into the recycle bin and emptied it (I was very frustrated and did a pretty
dumb move). I tried uninstalling again in the Control Panel>Add/Remove
Programs again, and it said successful. I clicked Finish, but for some
reason, the name is still there! It wont go away, I tried 50 times. I placed
my CD in, and it still did not have the Install button. So I would need some
help, this game was the one I favored for a year.

    Problem>
Add/Remove Programs has programs that were already uninstalled, however
the program will still appear on the list as if it was installed. This
prevents other installing programs to install, and makes it think that the
game is already installed and ready to play. Clicking Play button and
    uninstall button has no effect.

    Please give me suggestions.
    Thank You,
    Chin, Johnny

    I am not Microsoft.

Reboot immediately after installing or uninstalling anything. Everytime,
    without fail.
