Rioting Pt2 - Macquarie Fields residents get it right, perhaps??

Following the funeral of one of the deceased, a probably intrusive,
invasive, insensitive Channel 7 cameraman has been attacked by
Macquarie Fields residents, one of them with a beer bottle!

    Fair game?

(Actually it's interesting that it's happened to a Channel 7 person,
because I always felt that the Channel 7 news coverage scripts sounded
anti-police - not necessarily pro-hoodlums, but there seemed to be an
air of criticism of police in the phrasing/terminology of Channel 7
    news ....maybe?)

So there's just been a funeral for a dead mate, there was a tense atmosphere
and the mourners wanted to pay their respects in their own way. So where
does channel 7 decide to camp themselves???

    Fair game!

There were in a public park! These hoods think they own that neighbourhood
and it's about time society took a wholeistic approach to teach these scum a
    lesson.

    a) police should have used water cannon with a blue die in it so these scum
could easily be identified in the following days.

    b) these scum need to have there centrelink payments terminated immediately.

    c) these scum need to be thrown out of their public housing and have it
    given to people more deserving.

If they want to act like animals then society as a whole should treat them
as such. Terminate them, or at least castrate them so they can't breed.
It would certainly save the government a fortune in welfare payments and
    reduce the crime rate.

The doo-gooders in this world have too much power and this is the result.

The guy died joyriding in a stolen vehicle which made news headlines!

    Fair game?

interesting idea. would it actually work? and if yes, why hasn't this
    been done sooner?

or at least their parents centrelink payments. and all the kids under
16 fostered out to families that will actually put the effort in that is
    required to raise decent people.

Have you been reading Hominids by Robert J. Sawyer? this idea of
castrating undersible genes is quite interesting and is delved in quite
well in his Neanderthal trilogy. have a look out for it in your local
    scifi specialist bookstore.

Actually its more that parents have too much power. Whenever kids do
something bad/dumb/criminal, you can pretty much always trace it back to
pathetic parenting. Again more evidence for the pro-castration argument.

Nobody deserves to be attacked whilst doing their job. The actions of these
    thugs simply cannot be justified.

They're animals, trust me on that. Now everyone in Australia's getting a
good look at them. BTW, the helicopter has been swarming around again
tonight. The sooner they find Unabrow, the better.

Ummm, read again my very carefully, deliberately worded posting, and
also the reply post as well - where does it say the cameraman was *AT*
    the funeral??

It's very easy to assume that it was at the funeral from both your post and
Headrush's reply. In your post that comes from "Following the funeral" and
"a probably intrusive, invasive, insensitive Channel 7 cameraman" and in
Headrush's reply it is "So there's just been a funeral" and "So where does
channel 7 decide to camp themselves???" "there's just been" implies very
soon afterwards when, as Cackling wrote, it was hours afterwards.

    > Stop making assumptions on what you *think* you've read!

Stop making the sort of post that a certain troll might. Be clearer in what
you write or don't assume that everyone will immediately understand what you
meant if you don't make it clear.

Gee, how unusual for someone from aus.tv to not read a post correctly

If I caught someone doing their job on my front lawn I can assure you

Why read a post and reply to it if you don't know the full facts?. The only
assumption made here is that you (and others) had seen the news stories and
heard the radio reports and knew that the channel 7 crew went to the shrine
tree AFTER the funeral, hoping to get some shots of friends mourning their
    dead mate.

    They got what they deserved.

I have to agree with you there! If police were warne to stay away because it
may cause bad feelings to surface, it was bloody stupid of Chennel 7 to be
    story hunting!

I know having a camera in my face at a funeral would not make me happy!!
