australian pc user magazine NORMALLY has a program on the cd/ dvd called ripping and burning toolbox. the video encoder tab in this software has helped me to re- encode .vobs (dvd files) to mpegs or divx avis etc... (without the voice goin outta synch which was happenin with the other converters...)
