not sure if it was a typo or this is just a coincidence, I have left the user in the validation queue for now, signing up from the UK they would normally get nuked along with all the other spammers, if I hear differently from Jo-Jo I'll validate it but I'll wait until I hear back before doing anything with the account either way

The calender and the birthdays on the front page don't match so I wasn't sure who to say happy birthday too so I didn't to anyone.

EDIT: I worked out they are mixed up but sorted out who's birthday it is today, just a thing I like to do.

Hi.
DNS lookups aren't working for me for this site. I googled the ip address from when we'd done traceroutes and pings in the past in order to get here.
I googled a web based dns lookup tool and it came up blank as well for phorums.com.au
There are, however, recent posts from SHY and binkiboootstrap that I noticed, but I tried to access earlier tonight and wasn't able to. Id' assume that it was my ISPs lookups, but this tool is the second one I've tried that suggests there might be a problem http://www.ipaddressguide.com/

all the pages have a 'contact us' anchor linking to
mailto:frm@Remove-THISeyo.com.au

for some reason i think that may be a bug.

If you remove "Remove-THIS", from frm@Remove-THISeyo.com.au, you are left with this address: frm@eyo.com.au . Perhaps it's not so much of a bug as a ruse to defeat email harvesters.

Anyone wanting to use the link won't be able to use it though.

Generally you have either a working mailto link, or nothing. If you want feedback in that way, you'd use a form and a captcha to send the emails. Either way its lack of functionality qualifies it as a bug.

FTR, i doubt frm@eyo.com.au is an intended address. (it doesn't make sense)

You haven't tried sending an email to forum@Remove-THISeyo.com.au, have you?

Maybe frm means 'Fixed Rate Mortgage', or, 'Fertilizer Raw Material'. Maybe it was inserted by aliens as a means of communication.

Or maybe. its a bug. Named that way to reminding the person reasonable for removing the contact us link that they should remove it when they updated to the new forum software.

After Removing that part, the email address is a valid email address!

As to why it is named this way, because all the meaningful names such as forums@, frms@ have all been harvested and are in the spam dealers' list.

Then why bothering having that functionality? Just remove it if you want to protect that email. vbulliten don't obstruficate their email addresses in their contact us pages.

Do you honestly think that the kind of people who are going to want to use that contact us link, are going to want to do string processing in order to contact you. (the net result in both cases is that the functionality does nothing)

Just direct that contact us to a captcha enabled form. and have the form email you. I'm sure you can add simple php pages in vbulliten to do that.

One might think there is someone here who is dedicated to receive feedbacks and those more interesting things such as complaints about the stuff others have said. The trueth is no one has time to read those stuff and provide resolutions to things like forums fights. As for captcha feedback form, the software has built-in function for this, it is not used due to above reason.

I've used it a couple times. Not to complain about something but to state there was something wrong with the server or software. I didn't get confused. I can also vouch for there being no one on the other end of it who cares

Some people seem to go out of their way to point out the most trivial of things at times too

your 'complaints' are usually more humorous than anything, some people are either just pedantic or they are obsessive compulsive with some of the trivial stuff that comes up, fortunately not a lot these days though

Could you give us an example of the type of complaints you used to get?

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate thread for this sort of problem or if its just site related. I'm pretty sure it doesn't go down in the tech section. Anyway, I still can't find the clitoris. Also, I feel rather bored.
