Tevion dvd harddrive player/recorder

Help please.....

The DVD drawer(door) on my machine wont open. Any ideas/brainwaves anyone...

Thanx heaps for all or any suggestions......apart from throwing it out the door which I have considered.......

they sometimes have a manual eject, look for a small hole near the drive that you can push a paperclip or similar into, only helps if you have a disc stuck inside, won't actually fix the problem which does sound terminal

No hole on front or rear of machine near DvD door opening....

do you have a disc stuck inside or are you hoping you could get it working?

The machine switches on & you can hear the door trying to open.
Don't know if there's a DVD inside.....

could be a mechanical jam then, for me I'd take the lid off and have a look but I wouldn't suggest that for you if you are not familiar with the inner workings of electrical products, you might have to send it away if you think it's worth repairing

Shake it.

CD/DVD's just sit in drives, if you can hear a CD/DVD rattle around in there, then there's one in there, otherwise there is a decent chance there isn't one in there.
