Yeah, very true to the original I'd go as far to say that it's the best sequal yet, with the minor flaw that you require prior knowledge of the previous 5 films to keep up with it.

Great movie, perfect quality transfer.

This is one movie I found greater the first 1 or 2 times, but really struggle to maintain interest in it. Apart from the Brittney Murphy and Jessica Alba scenes.

Case 39 - by the numbers thriller/suspense, worth a look on cheap Tuesday.

The Strangers - It was ok.

i agree. hired it a while back since i hadnt seen it in ages and didnt enjoy it all that much

was shocked to see Heat out on blu-ray, so bought i bought it straight away. havent watched the movie yet, but the extra features are decent. 3 parts about the making of the movie were filmed in 2005 and has all the actors commenting in it (including a very... err interesting looking Tom Sizemore). minus the great Robert DeNiro which had snippits of him talking about the movie from back in the day.

I recorded the first episode of Dead Set which started on monday on SBS. quite freaky actually. some of it made me crack up in a typical zombie dark-humour way, but the show is quite good and quite gory and scary. You can tell production was a bit tight, but if anything just makes it better. and knowing it has 5 episodes makes it all the more intruiging because you know its going to end at one point

Watched the Princess Bride. 1st time. After everyone raving about it from their childhood it was time to check it out.

Not bad for what it was. Woulda been sensational as an 8 yr old.

That was good as a 17 year old, a 25 year old, a 30 year old, a 35 year old, and various ages in between. I've seen it too many times now though.

Yeah me too. The problem with the idea btw, is that she hasn't seen it as many times as me, so I'd have to convince her to see it again, which means me sitting through it.

Top Gear last night (Mon 16 Nov 09, SBS 7:30pm):

"The Top Gear team hit Norway for a Winter Olympics special, where they attempt various Olympic events, but with cars. That means Jeremy and James tackling the biathlon in Audi Q7 and Volvo XC90 SUVs, plus a shed load of mad stunts, using everything from a rocket-powered Mini to a snowmobile."

Was awesome.

That rocket-powered mini down the massive ski jump was amazing.
Love it.

Just saw The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus.

Weird and bizarre ... typical Terry Gilliam. Seamless segues between Heath Ledger and his replacements (Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Colin Farrell) though.

Journey To The Center Of The Earth the new one, I really enjoyed it which surprised me because it's normally not my type of movie but laughs and adventure...good viewing. It came with 2 disc's (one 3D ) and 4 pair of 3D glasses after watching the movie I put in the 3D disc and put the glasses on to see the difference, I actually got very yuk in the tummy so I'll give that a miss from now on just stick with normal movies not 3D.

The Tennebaums was pretty good. Most of what i found funny was to do with the token mexican butler though, so felt a lot of the comedy went to waste. Would be nice if Wes Anderson would become a little more of a real director than just a genre of his own.

Going to see The Darjeeing Limited at the moonlight cinema next week. should be good
