Thanks Rod, I called them and the answer was NO!!! I've heard that
such number swaps are possible in Vodafone or Telstra. Looks like
Optus is well behind its main competitors in terms of customer
service. Anyway after 5 years with Optus I will look around for a
better deal and more significantly better customer service.

You must have asked the wrong question or you didnt
wait till the contract had expired like I told you to.

They are with Optarse too, I've done it.
