Problem with Nokia 6230

I got a problem like this, there is no ring sound, the keypad (beep) sound
is still ok, it can vibrate, but there's no ringtone sound at all.
Anyone else got the same problem? Is there something that I can do to fix
this?

Thanks.

Take it out of silence mode, Recheck all your tone settings.

Turn it off then on again or restore factory settings.

Already tried those, still not working.
I found out that if I use the headset, I can still hear the ringtones. But
no ringtones without headset.

Re: Problem with Nokia 6230

and no loudspeaker?
you have to open it up. Do not rip the lcd off the main board, you'll most
likely f##k it for good, no need anyway. Take the main board and
keyboard/lcd out in one peice.
clean the brass pogo pins in the back housing, make sure they still
"spring". Maybe had a little drop or bounce?
If it aint that, you need a new ringer/loudspeaker in the housing.

I think it is a bit more than just the settings in this case. No offence,
but I've met advice like yours, usually from a shop droid.
It will be a mechanical/housing fault, and I hope "Dennis" has the
generosity to confirm it.
