Smile Playing DVDs from the USA on Panasonic DVD recorders ?

On Sunday, I purchased my new Panasonic DVD. Recorder DMR-EH50, and today, I attempted to copy. Some of my USA NTS videos without much success.
I copied from a Panasonic video recorder NV-SJ400 two. My new Panasonic DVD recorder. The pictures came out, black and white, but sound was okay, I had set the DVD Recorder to
NTS from pal, but did not make any difference at all. Can anybody help?.

Bob

Am about to buy a Panasonic, DMR -- E H50 but before I do I need to check that I can play .USA - DVD –R I will be purchasing in the future from the United States?

I have quite a collection of USA NTS video tapes, that I can play on my Panasonic video recorder. Quite easily. But this multi zoning thing I do not know much about, so I hope somebody can help.?

The best price so far, it is $ 779 at Bing Lee. Is this a good price ?

Kind regards,

Bob,

P. S. my original intention was to buy DMR –ES 30 V or E S10t, when I weighed up my options and watching the price coming down by changed my mind.

try www.videohelp.com to see if the panasonic is listed with any details regarding region changes.

also Google, 'Panasonic+DMR+EH50' and see what pops up

I have the E85H and it plays all my R1 dvd's no problems.
The model without hard drive (can't recall the model number) also played them.
If the current models are multi-zoned then there shouldn't be any worries.
