Panasonic want $1060 plus tax for a ET-LA780 Bulb for the Projector PT-L780
any advise on other after market bulbs for this unit. THANKS GUYS

Jesus! How old is that model of projector?
You know you can buy a brand new Benq 5120 DLP Projector direct from BenQ for $1388, or direct from BenQ for $950 (if you work in the biz)

Look at :http://www.avaction.com.au/lamps_panasonic.htm for one at under $700 or one on ebay going for $2o0.... *if* you can trust it being new as listed. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Panasonic-ET-...QQcmdZViewItem Zero bids Better hurry - loks like only 5 hours left..!! Oh well.. looks like you missed out on a $200 projector bulb...!
Auction ended with ZERO bids.. Email the guy and ask if he wanst to sell it to you...

The strategy these days is to sell the old projector while the bulb still
