DVD Playback Issue

Hi there,

My sister bought the McCleod's Daughters tv boxsets on DVD, and there are some playback problems. She tried to play episode 6, but instead it went back to the opening disc logo/copyright warning etc (as if the disc had been ejected and re-inserted). It did this repeatedly. Then she put in a different disc, and again there was one particular episode on the disc that would jump back to the opening logo/warning instead of the episode. However, later on, after she re-inserted the original disc, episode 6 played with no problems!! Has anyone ever experienced this? Does it sound like a problem with the disc, or the player?

Thanks - any feedback appreciated!

Possibly both, quite often discs are not mastered correctly and do not follow the DVD standards as they are meant to, some players can trip up on these discs and some will play them fine. What player is it?

I would guess that the discs were not mastered correctly, your Teac is obviously a bit sensitive to this.
