HT receiver cycling off and on

Hi folks,

I have an Onkyo TX-DS676 receiver which is now a few years old. It has
performed like a champion until the last couple of days, where it seems
to have developed an intermittent (but very annoying) problem.

The receiver will cycle off and immediately switch back on. It may
cycle two or three times and then settle back down before doing the same
thing again minutes or hours later.

I'm a complete muppet when it comes to electronics and would appreciate
any thoughts as to what could be the problem.

Thanks in advance

Mark

Have a look in the manual to see if there is a way to reset the software. My
old Denon did the same thing and a reset fixed it.From memory I think I had
to press one of the buttons on the front while switching the thing on.
Hope this helps...
