Recommendations for Dual Mode Quad Band phone

I am with Telstra GSM and am looking to get a Dual Mode (WCDMA/GSM)
quad band phone. This is so I can use it in Japan/Korea as well as
everywhere else in the world (GSM).
Any phone recommendations out there?
Also will I be able to use my existing Telstra GSM SIM or do I need
something special to enable the Dual mode feature in Japan?

Dave

Re: Recommendations for Dual Mode Quad Band phone

that means you'll be looking for a triband GSM 900/1800/1900 plus WCDMA
2100 phone. Most 3G phones they sell are such equipped.

The first quadband GSM phone with WCDMA is the Nokia N80, due in March.
It's GSM 850/900/1800/1900 plus WCDMA 1900/2100.

For best results, you'll need a new Telstra SIM which has the preferred
network set to 3Telstra 505-06 instead of Telstra 505-01. Although your
old SIM will work if it is the correct voltage.
