Unhappy Copying disks burnt on LG 4812W dvd recorder

I used a LG 4812W dvd recorder to burn to DVD video I took of my mothers 90th birthday party to send to relatives around Australia and overseas.

I then used my PC to attempt to make multiple copies of the original dvd with no luck. With each attempt things seemed to be going ok until it got to reading 100% then I got the message that a vob file was missing and that was that.

I can view the whole dvd on the PC, using power dvd, no problems, when I use Nero it has problems reading the disk, clone DVD previews the dvd ok, it stops when it gets too 100% in the read/write stage and gives the error message.

The dvd is playable on TEAC, LG, PIONEER players.

I contacted LG help desk and they said because it plays OK its not their problem.

I have since heard that the LG 4812W dvd recorder may use a copy once format???? Is that so?

Is there anyone who can help??

I did go out an get another DVD Recorder just to do this task - it worked fine and I was able to save lots of time 1 hour X 26 compared to 1 hour to burn, 13 minutes for the first copy and 8 minutes for repeats.
