Ripping music?

Hey guy's,
I have a problem. I need to get a number from a DVD I own. as I'm doing a stage show next year and I need this song to practice. How do you pull a song from a dvd? (it has to be rewiritten to cd as I need it for the car as well as to a portable player).

Cheers,

Aussie bob

I'm sure this is one of those things that you're not actually allowed to do.

But, if you were allowed, then this link:

may be helpful.

If I had ever done this I'm sure it would have worked out fine.

Just record the sound as you play the dvd in your pC but you have to have a full duplex sound card ie{records and plays back at the same time}.
OR..with an external dvd player output the sound into your PC, once on the hard drive burn to CD.A CD-Recorder(audio only} would also do the job.
