Hyundai DVR-900A

Firstly, good afternoon....
please bear with me on this one.
I used google to search out this make and model of dvd recorder and came up with this site.
I have just purchased one of these machines 2nd hand this morning, from Cash Converters and it has a 3 month warranty.
I see now that it only takes dvd+rw...and as I am not very knowledgeable on these things, quite the opposite in fact, I was wondering if anyone has a view on whether I should take this machine back or not. I am having a bit of trouble tuning it in to my local channels as well. It shows a 'manual tuning' setting, but I am not able to utilise this setting for some reason....any help would be appreciated.
Thankyou
Carolyn

The desicion to return it or not could be influenced by the price, how much did you pay for it? If it was a great bargain it might be worth putting up with some niggles, would need to be cheap though.

In that case definately take it back, you can buy brand new DVD recorders cheaper than this.

yes, I thought as much......I just hoope now they take it back....they should though, because they didn't tell me it would only use dvd+rw discs.....and the fact that it doesn't tune properly should be a good enough reason....

I would be more inclined to emphasize the fact that the tuner is faulty rather than mentioning the disc types it uses, one is a fault the other is a feature, you won't get a refund over features, go for the fault and be thankful it has that fault so you can get your money back.
