Pioneer DV676 - Normal for 4 Second Power up Delay ??
I purchased a Pioneer DV676 yesterday and it was the last one in the store as it's been superseeded by the DV686.
When I press the power button it takes 4 seconds for the player to repond (ie nothing at all happens to indicate it's starting up). I have an older Pioneer DV 533 which starts up within .5 of a second. I am concerned as I purchased it for use in Bed & Breakfast and if I kept pressing the button as I didn't think it was switching on, I am sure others will too. There isn't another in the store to check how it works - so I contacted Pioneer who told me "It wasn't abnormal to take 4 seconds" They didn't say it was normal tho!!!! Helpful as a hat full of bums. Anyway if you have a 676, please let me know how long it takes to fire up Cheers with Beers Johnno |

WOW.... You must have got the last one of those things.
Mine takes about 2-3 seconds to fire up. Relax...it is a good product. |
