STB date - leap year?

My DGTEC STB tells me todays date is Nov 31.

I didn't know it was a leap year? :-)

btw, when does digital start on the translators in Melb? 1st
December. Is that tomorrow? Seeing that the date is so wrong, maybe
it's a delaying tactic 'cos it ain't on them yet (ABC, SBS are OK)

well, a day has passed. What's the date now?
You hinted that the strange dating wasn't happening on some channels ie 2 and sbs. Musta been 7, they seem to have all the glitches. Or was it that Lost World was showing at the time? Lucky it wasn't a HDD unit and you had some timer recordings trying to record yesterdays program tomorrow.

What model dgtec is it? my dh2000a didn't reflect anything wrong on any channel.
