Channel 7 gone
I have Thomson DTI500AU box.
Works fine, but a few days ago Ch 7 simply disappeared. 70,71,72 etc are all there but not 7. Re-scanned the chanells a few times, no luck. Unplugged the box form the power, still no Ch 7. Can watch it on 72, 73 etc. But where did the normal 7 go ? I recall that prior to this I had the box frozen. It was on Ch 9 then. Sound was going Ok but the picture was frozen and not a sigle button on the box worked. The only thing I could do is to unplug it from power. Then it al was fine. Do not know if these 2 events are connected. Regards Alex |

You're welcome to post in whatever language you like, but you must understand that if you use something other than English (as you have here) then most folks aren't going to understand what you're talking about. I hope this helps, Bob |

Re: Channel 7 gone
I had something like this happen on my TEAC box a few weeks ago. All of the
7 signals became 351, 352 etc, like 7 wasnt identifying themselves properly. It rectified itself a few days later, though I did retune a few times... Re: Channel 7 gone
I have had this on my Teac twice now. Each time I retuned straight away and
it was fine. I blame channel seven for the glitch. All I do is delete all carriers and rescan - CH7 always comes back online. To be on the safe side, I am often away so have have selected CH72 for example as my favorite on the 7 carrier. Keeps mum happy. |

Re: Channel 7 gone
Deleted Ch 7 carrier. Re-scanned - all good now.
Rescan without deleting a carrier would not help. I had my unit frozen before that Ch 7 was gone. I had already called the shop where I bought it, and they agreed to swap it. I have been wating for the new box to be transferred to the local branch. Now we fixed the Ch 7 problem.... All I have is the fact that it lost it at some stage plus that the box got frozend (hung). Is there still any point to swap the box ? Are they all like this anyway ? Or the other one may be better ? Cable connections
I had a very similar problem when I first installed my Strong SRT5290. For some reason Channel 7 dropped out. I even got those channel 350, 351 etc. After re-scanning it worked fine but eventually it dropped out. I traced the problem down to a dodgy antenna cable I used which was originally plugged into my TV. Sure, it never exhibited problems on my TV, but then I plugged it into the STB. The cable connection was not good, so I bought a new shielded antenna cable and 'voila!' my problems disappeared.
Check your cable. If it's an old one try a new cable and then see if your problems persists. |
