Any one else use MAME
Any one else use game emulators like mame to play all the old classics like galaga,gyrus,pitfall 2.These are some of my favs,whats yours?
I can while away hours playing these games

I used to love M.A.M.E.
Got a handful of games (all the WWF ones  ) and love playing them (and the idea that instead of inserting a dollar, all I have to do is push a button for a credit!  )Lately I've been hooked on Final Fight. However, I've noticed most of the MAME sites have shut down due to legal / copyright reasons. Even mame.dk have removed all their roms permanantly. Anyone knows of any places still going?

ok for those that dont know what mame is.Check out www.mame.net
Mame is the actual emulator that simulates what the games run in.The games are called roms.After installing mame you then go and find the game roms you want and put the in the rom folder in the mame directory .Update in your roms within mame and away u go. try this link for some roms.its in another language but you will get the hang of it.also could probably just email most as they are normally tiny. http://www.mamefans.metropoliglobal.com/download.htm http://www.isd.net/mame/romdown.htm http://www.playagain.net/pages/Jeux/arcade/mame.htm Last edited by Scott.H.; 17-10-2002 at 04:00 PM..

I am hooked on emulators....i used to use mame but it didnt support some of the roms i had. So i went to Neorage X, I use it for metal slug 1,2,3,x,4. I also use winkawaks for all my marvel vs street fighter type games as well as a few others. A lot of rom sites have been killed lately, i used to use mame.dk all the time....pitty its gone now!

Nothin beats the Cps1 Cps2 games. Mostly the awsome StreetFighter series. Even the Mortal Kombat series. all original sounds/music/gfx. How good thats and you dont even need to walk up to the counter and ask for change!

I'm currently dying for a copy of Alien VS Predator on M.A.M.E. Have a couple of fond memories of that game.
However, have not been able to find a place to d/l it as yet.

hey i wonder if anyone remembers the name a game where you drive a boat around stuff and get caught in whirlpools and stuff,trying to find it with no luck.thought it was called whirlpool but cant find any such game

never head of it....go look at mame.dk....try and find out what game it is then find an alternate download !
