XMS-888, waky, waky ...

I can' believe that ...
After three happy weeks with my last (third one ...) unit it stopped waking up from the standby mode. It now has exactly the same problem as my first exchanged one, i.e. the only way to wake it up is to push power button off and on. After that it wakes up from the remote but after some time (5 mins or 2 hours) it is dead sleeping again. How could it be that I experience this problem with two units out of three and nobody else reported that ? I also don't understand that return rate of 16 units out of 1800 ... I see only two explanations: a probability theory went mad and the second load of 4 units to Canberra was from refurbished ones.
Another thing is that a couple of those red lights gone but I consider it as a plus.
Maybe I have now my first unit back ?

Didn't you keep track of your serial number?

Anyway... the Trio DX-628 has hit some of Melbourne's stores. I must check it out this week.

Actually my current unit came from the second delivery (they were out of stock): 4 units in total. And when I replaced it all 4 units just arrived from Sydney. So either it is a common problem (Canberra specific ?) or they sent the same unit back ... Of course, one cay say : it is not a big deal to power off and on the unit all the time. However, I am afraid that this is only the
beginning ...
I didn't track the serial numbers of the first two, never thought it is going to be like this. What is their money refund policy, only one week ?
I am getting sick spending tooo much time resolving these issues.

There has been a batch within the second delivery to hit stores (still from the first shipment) that have had some issues, you may well have received stock that is affected by this. You have a number of options available, contact me off list to discuss if you like, I'm sure this can be sorted out.
