One thing that worked for me with some of the TV shows that were out of sync was to switch the video output mode to auto or to ntsc and the sync problem went away.

Hi I just bought an xms-888 great little machine. Anyway, I'd like to see smaller fonts so that we can see the entire filename of a file on a cd or dvd. The ability to read txt files would be good too.

Version 1.2 already supports subtitle files in the format of .srt.
Highlight the file in the smart-navi menu, then press the 'angle' button on the remote.
The screen will say 'DivX subtitle selected' or words to that effect, then just play the movie.

I'm guessing that you haven't had a look at www.xms888.tk or you would have seen this, and a heap of other useful info on this player. Do yourself a favour and check it out, there's a bunch of stuff that may not be obvious that is listed in detail there.
