XMS-888 firmware upgrade problem

I purchased an XMS-888 today.

Downloaded and burned Firmware 1.2 onto CD/RW

Followed instructions published on www.xms-888.tk

After the writing of firmware, high pitched sound began emanating from unit

Open/Close button is unresponsive

What should I do?

Perhaps it has nothing to do with the upgrade, however, I have noticed that on mine, after the 1.2 upgrade, after you have powered it back on, sometimes it is unresponsive until you press 'standby' on the remote.
(i.e. it powers back on in standby mode)
