Trio DX-628 probs
Hi,
I seem to be having some problems with the Trio DX-628 with Divx and DVD play back. Any ideas ? Divx ----- I only have access to one Divx movie not sure what the Dvix version is. Play back is at 750kbs, size - 756*240, Audio 48khz 16bps. - Sound Sync. Sound is fine at the start but by about 15 minutes in the sound is out if sync by about .5 of a second. Sound is clear and in sync on PC. - Picture quality. On the PC the picture is clear. On the DX-628. The picture is grainy and the "compression squares" are quite clear. DVD Playback. ---------------- - Picture focus. The picture on some DVDs seems to be sharp then looses the sharpness then comes back again...bit like going in and out of focus. You can see the texture on a person face.. then comes and goes.... - Lines appearing. Occasionally for about one frame a dozen or so white lines a appear across the screen. This seems to occurring when playing NTSC disks back converted to PAL. Little Probs ------------ - When set to auto screen format. It defaults to NTSC so playing back JPEGS and the on screen menu come out in lower resolution. There should be a default format for DVD output and other (jpegs, menu, etc....) ------ Ray |

I have quite a few divx/xvid movies that stutters (plays in low frame rates... not smooth etc) on the Trio-DX628, but they play fine on XMS-888.
I'll wait a bit longer to see if their new firmware upgrade fixes this problem... otherwise will return it. |
