Generic XBox Game Question Thread

Rules:

This thread is for people to ask questions about games and (hopefully) get a response from someone 'in-the-know'.

Try not to linger on one game too much.

Damn

Are there any decent X-Box Games recommended that are of similar nature?

I also saw a game today called Spyhunter which looked okay. Was $55...

Also am picking up Obi-Won on XBox. Anyone played that?

I played spyhunter on the PS2, I thought, cool. An updated version of one of my fav. commodore 64 games.

You know, the one where you drive up the back of trucks and come out as a motorbike, or drive into a boatshed and turn into a boat.

I was very disappointed. All the fun has been taken out of it. its just another generic shoot-em up, except from a car or boat. Pretty much taken all the little levels from james bond games and put them together. No fun at all.

As well as the fact that you have to pass a driving/shooting test before you can even start the game.

In that case, I'm bloody glad I didn't buy it!

I did recently buy The Thing, and can fully recommend it. Much cooler than Resident Evil in my opinion....
(Then again; I am a fan of the film and of Carpenter's stuff in general).

Splinter Cell looks awesome, but I've read that it can be very hard and frustrating.
I was told last night, that it was $67.00 at Myer yesterday.

Any comments on the game by someone who has played it?

am currently playing it atm,its great once you learn the controls. Also when i get to a point where i cant get further a have a look at a walkthrough ,helps with the frustration aspect.
Graphics are awesome imo, especially in the police station with the fire all around you.
And yes myer has it for 67 this week

Ditto

Originally bought Blade 2, but found it to be the biggest piece of crap I'd ever played and arguably one of the worst games on XBox.

Took it back, got a voucher, and voilous.... Splinter Cell!
