Final Fantasy IX - Platinum
When is this game going Platinum. I haven't bought it, as I did not think a PSX game was worth $100, especially as this came out when I bought my PS2. So I thought I'll wait until it goes platinum. This was after a year. Ive been anticipating it to go platinum for ages now.. And nothing.

Hmmm, Obviously it hasn't sold enough in Australia, and seeing it came out when everyone who had a Playstation was saving money to buy a PS2, I'm not surprised.
I borrowed it off a friend about 2 months after it came out and got half way through it, then he went and sold it, so I too am waiting for it to go platnium or at least to weekly at my video store so that I can finish it

But do we believe them when they say only titiles that sell go platinum? I remember one pathetic title went platinum and I thought no way that would sell 5 copies let alone enough to qualify.
