undefined Hi,
I have just purchased a Liteon lvw-5005. Although I have not recieved it yet I had the following idea. I live in USA using NTSC, because I am from europe I have many videorecordings using PAL. Because the LVW-5005 has the possiblity of a PAL mode and a NTSC mode I was curious about the following things: 1. Would it be possible to tranfer my PAL camera recordings using my PAL monitor I still have onto a dvd and then play it back in NTSC mode on the liteon player. 2. Would the resulting recording then be a region 1 PAL recording or would I need a region free player because it is a region 2 PAL recording. 3. Does the liteon recorder have a built-in PAL/NTSC as a standard. I know these are specific questions and I would appreciate any kind of answers/suggestions. I thank you in advance for your time Thomas |

Ntsc
The answer to your question appears to be yes.
Check out: Liteon site Your own recordings are region-free. Tony Brown |
