472 hours of film on one DVD size disc

Imperial College London researchers in the UK are developing a new way of storing data that could lead to discs capable of holding 1,000 gigabytes.

A four-layer DVD could hold one terabyte (1,000Gbs) of data, enough for 472 hours of film, or every episode of The Simpsons ever made.

Would they though?
Or would you still end up with the same number of episodes per disc as normal just in superdooper ultra magnificent mind blowingly fantastic quality?

I think greed will take over and they won't want to put that much on a disc, they would want less episodes and more sales potential.

Well, they're kind of cheating if it's not digital. There are those holographic discs as well.
