Need a DVD Loader for a RankArena DVD2400

I have a RankArena DVD2400. It now just sits there at the green screen saying "No Disc". Before this; it made increasingly frequent crunching noise and used to say "no Disc" intermittently.
Now it won't ready any of my DVDs (all work in my other LG DVD player)

So I assume the DVD Drive has carked it. Correct me if this is the wrong assumption to make.

Is it possible that cleaning it will get it going?

How\where can I get a replacement DVD Loader (i am in Canberra)? It appears to be a standard IDE Device?

I have removed it from the player and it is a;

Model TD-505-A

Most likely a drive for your player will cost more than a new player with similar features, if you think that it is still worth persuing let me know, I know the previous importer of this unit personally and would be able to find out if it is possible to get a replacement drive.

Thanks for the offer, but I have got it going anyway.

I simply removed the DVD Loader from the DVD Player, and vacuumed the rubbish out of the mechanism then cleaned the lens with a cotton wool bud doused in isopropyl alchohol. Put her all back together and Bob is your Uncle! Running like a Swiss watch.

I wonder how many people have tossed DVD players out, when maybe a good clean would get them going again?
