Angry Playing OS DVDs

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has problems playing DVDs bought from South East Asia. I have a Himax player, used to work great early this year however the new DVDs I just purchased dont work too well. They play up to a certain point and then freeze. The odd thing is that I manage to play them on my PC without much trouble. Could it be new type of discs they're using now?

LOL!

Are you trying to play pressed DVD's or DVD-R/+R? If you don't know look at the botom of the disc, if it's silver or "goldish" it's pressed, if it's purple it's DVD-R/+R.
