Data disc

Hi,

After taking my dvd recorder back and getting the updated model, liteon 5005 I have had no probs until his morning. I am useing the tdk- from jb in a spindle and so far so good...but, overnight I dubbed two vhs tapedx onto it and this morninh when I turned on toi finalize it, it comes up with data disc. It was fine when I set off the last 3 hours to record. My question is, why do discs do this???? First strathfield which I ahve decided not to use anymore, and noiw tdk - after I ahve used several from the spindle???

I heard from another forum to avoid TDK DVD discs that come in large spindles as they are not the same quality.

I had a Ricoh (+RW) disc that went bad (when I tried to use it, it gave me the Data disk message on the machine). Am now using a TDK +RW disc and it hasn't faulted me yet after about 15 uses.
