Dvd Recording Foxtel Digital

Hello all you tech heads......now i may be getting a little old, and falling behind when it comes to technology, but I want to buy a DVD Recorder that will allow me to record Foxtel Digital, with a decent quality......I ask in the electrical store's and they seem to know less than me.....1 store today told me you cannot record Foxtel Digital......I am sure someone can let me know, if it can happen (i am led to believe you can exc FBO), and what are the best units to buy.... Thanks !!

Gday mate,
I record Foxtel Digital on a Pioneer DVD Recorder (sorry dont have the model number with me at work at the moment) with no problems at all.

Foxtel Box Office has Macrovision protection on it, meaning the recording is scrambled if you try to record.
Foxtel Digital is not a HD service, so pretty much any Recorder you get in the market will give you the quality of Foxtel Digital when recorded to DVD.
The main consideration is whether you need a Recorder with a Hard Drive in it, to pick and choose what actually makes to your blank DVD discs.

Thanks for your help cobber !! I dont use FBO anyway, as I think it is not worth the money....but I want to record off the std movie channels. Is it worth the extra to get a Hard drive ? I want to basically record on to discs anyway as I am collecting them ? I can select the movies I like and set the timer ? I suppose the hard drive gives you more space to record on to ?
