Question Help with Centrix TV

I have a Centrix TV that I bought 2nd hand (no manual). My kids have somehow locked the TV, using the remote. There is a "red lock" in left hand top corner and I have no idea how to get out of it. Hope someone out there can help me pleae.

Hi,

not sure if this'll help much, but sometimes holding down lock keys for a few seconds will do the trick. The idea is that they can't be generally locked by mistake: it has to be done deliberately.

I know dishwashers and the like work in the same way...sometimes, you may have to press 2 button at once for a couple of seconds. failing that, Centrex are at

Ground Floor
5 Bridge St
Pymble NSW 2073
Ph 1300 660 335

Good luck!

If you're interested, check out the following pay-site for a decent database of DVD handset codes. It's got a few machines that other sites don't feature, so I'm recommending it. It seems a good place to go for those rarer machines by the looks of things.

It's actually got a Sony unlock on one of its front pages. I don't know whether it works though, as I heard Sony machines can't be unlocked with a handset code? Who knows. Anyway, here's a link to the free page - the codes might be of some use to you.

edit: removed link to pay site AGAIN!

How do you see that DVD region unlock codes would be of any benefit to someone trying to un-childlock a TV set?
