Paranoid about auto theft?
Saw an XF sedan in the shopping centre the other day, with a club lock
on the steering wheel, ok I can live with that. Then noticed the gladwrap substitute passenger window, and when I walked past both passenger side doors & B-Pillar stoved in like it had been head butted by a 10foot wombat, a definate write off. |

Re: Paranoid about auto theft?
It might have been someone's only transport without theft insurance. Id
still secure my car because of the inconvenience if it went missing. I don't need to be paranoid, if I cant see my good car its not safe unless its locked in the garage. My other car well thats a different story I can leave it anywhere without a second thought. cheers Scott "Rainbow Warrior" <hommer@sbs.com.fr> wrote in message news:_Npfd.238$hr4.5060@nnrp1.ozemail.com.au... > Saw an XF sedan in the shopping centre the other day, with a club lock > on the steering wheel, ok I can live with that. > > Then noticed the gladwrap substitute passenger window, and when I > walked > past both passenger side doors & B-Pillar stoved in like it had been head > butted by a 10foot wombat, a definate write off. > > > |

Its the damage which makes it a lot worse. You can disable the car so it cant be driven, but that's only part of the story. IME,..park in a floodlit area, either with your own triggered lights or illuminated public area plus a good aural alarm for when they open the door whch may as well be east to open, to stop the damage.
