Must be the only 66cm TV avialable with progressive inputs! Combine it with
the Sony PAL progressive DVD player.

Danny.

I have seen a Grundig at $2299 RRP. But I'm sure you can get it cheaper.
It has RGB, S-video (through scart only) Also it is upgradeable for digital.
But it is $$$$ to get that feature.

But a beautiful looking W/S TV set.

Arty

What's your budget? LG have a model for about $999 (50Hz), and then I
think you're looking at $1500 and above.

Re: WHATS A GOOD 66 CM 16:9

Am I right in saying that those sets are from importers (ie not Grundig
Australia) who bring in Euro sets and mod them for the AU market ? I think
that www.europeantv.com.au is one. Their warranty is not a Grundig Australia
one, but a back-to-base (Maroubra NSW) one.

Dunno, could be wrong....

I'd love to get a widescreen, but for the cost

Taking a look at the DBA site the other day, I noticed that TEAC have a 76cm
widescreen for an amazing $999.

Has anyone seen one of these? If so, where and was it any good?

I can only assume that there's something a bit sub-standard or the quoted price
is wrong? If not, it will probably be my next purchase.

Last time I looked BigW had the RCA 76cm sets for $876. A much better
set than the TEAC and a bargain at the price.

Do you know the model number of that set?

The only RCA 76cm widescreen mentioned on the
DBA site is the 32WR22E at $1999.

If BigW are selling that for $876 that's an
absolutely *amazing* saving.

My friend has the Panasonic TX-66PW150A, and it has ended up being a
decent 66 cm WS for both DTV and DVD.

Re: WHATS A GOOD 66 CM 16:9

I have an LG 66 widescreen and I have none of the problems you have, you
sure you don't have it set up wrong (puts on the flame retardant clothing)
matter of fact several of my friends come over to my place to watch the
football because, even though they have larger screens, I have the best
picture.
but then your mileage may vary

THE 66 panasonic I bought for my daughter died a painful death only 13
months old and only used for dvds .

Just proves once again Loewe is the go
